Have you Tapped into the Greatest Power Available?

When we think of available power, we often think of military capability, fiscal resources, physical strength, and other worldly measures that authorities tell us measure the really powerful in our world. The Bible is much more realistic and honest. It tells us that the most powerful thing available in the World is God and His names. It was a powerful statement in Isaiah, that reads:

Isaiah 45:22-24a

“Turn from me and be saved, all you ends of the earth, for I am God, and there is no other. By myself I have sworn, my mouth has uttered in all integrity a word that will not be revoked.

Before me every knee will bow; by me every tongue will swear.” They will say of me, “In the Lord alone are deliverance and strength. All who have raged against him, will come to him and be shamed.”

Paul stated it as an obvious reason we should treat all other Christians with respect. He wrote:

Romans 14:10-11

“Why do you judge your brother or sister? Or why do you treat them with contempt? For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat. As surely as I live, says the Lord, every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.”

The willingness of Christ to become human and experience all the same things we experience, only with more intensity, will be rewarded as Bible says when everyone who has ever lived will see how powerful the name of Jesus really is.

Philippians 2:9-11

“Therefore, God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
